Can't study? Switch location

I have been studying in my room for the past few days and I realize that I am starting to zone out more often.

There are so many study areas around at east campus. I went study-place hunting and located this secluded classroom with nice ergonomic chairs.

A switch of location can help you focus better. I like to stay away from the crowd so the library and other public studying areas are no-no. Unless there are only a few people around.

It's easy to rest on your laurels when everything is going well.

I am doing well, but it can be better. Thanks brother for pointing it out. It seems so weird to take on such a methodological approach to your social life but I guess whatever way that works is a good way.

I just tried it and the effect is immediate! Exciting!

I have so much more to offer to the people around me.

The past 24 hrs or so

Come back from writing discussion.
Thought about possible refinements to my project.
Started on math hw. Stuck. Revised past sections. Crash course on Mathematica to obtain P matrix for Jordan canonical form.
Read writing class's anthology. Started on response. Wrote half a page.
Rushed to West campus for project work.
Volunteered to fix up citation. Crash course on Endnotes. Figured out successfully but realized citation in a huge mess. Some group members not present. Called them up and vomitted blood several times.
Worked on writing discussion. 12 am eat dinner. Work on writing results. Feel awake until 5.30 am. Another respected group member stuck out longer than me. Went back to East campus. Practised piano for keyboard test. Slept. Woke up went to class. Piano keyboard test. Read and edited project report. Pass the remaining stuff to the other 2 members. Scanned my reference material. Lunch. Watch movie. Going to sleep...

I was eating dinner today and I wondered how crazy it would be if my dudes back in singapore & Upenn juz appear magically around me, eating dinner together.

Math lecture was really confusing. After struggling to understand my prof for 15 mins, I left the lecture hall and lay down on the couch outside and decipher the textbook myself. When I went back in, I understand everything she is saying liaoz. Feel smart man!! Haha, maybe I should do this everytime.

Hopefully can my friend will pass me his bicycle and futon after he graduated.

I made more attempts to speak up during discussion today. I am happy with the 2nd attempt. Dun think anyone understood me during the first one.

First Chinese speaking table tomorrow as Hall Rep. Dunnoe wat to do also. Hopefully nothing. Project meeting after that. I like my group members but I wish they can think more.

Project presentation on thursday (code not even finished yet! I feel that I can do everything myself but reluctant)
Senior send off this friday, lang dorm semiformal after that, finally got date (not confirmed also, haiz).
Beyond which mugging zone, writing project, till finals end (stressful weeks).
Hawaii, summer school, back to singapore!

Haven't visited my friend in the hospital for some time. Feeling bad. Tian ah, give me more time!!!

One after another

Saturday and Sunday were the same for me. Woke up, brush teeth, went down for brunch. Went back to room, sat down, work...
Next time I looked out of the window it was already dark.

The weather is warm now! I can walk out in just t-shirt and jeans and it feels great!!!

I am already looking forward to summer school. There are a couple of other international students who will be staying behind as well. I think there will be more time to hang out and do other stuff. Going Hawaii for a couple of days and then visiting Yexiang in California before that.

And I am looking forward to having a good haircut when I get back to Singapore. I even dreamt of it yesterday!

Most of all, I am looking forward to the new semester! New friends and new environment!
