Gym

One thing about going to the gym here is that you have to contend with being the smallest, skinniest and weakest being. Bench pressing can be quite a psychological challenge sometimes as you try not to feel ridiculous struggling with 70 pounds while those white and black dudes (and sometimes asian) around you are grunting to 100 pounds and usually more.

During this summer term I have gotten more in touch with myself...

Went down to DMV to take driving test and failed it!
Haha, exceeded speed limit. Rented a huge Grand Marquis for this test which I am not used to driving. And partly because I was too complacent. The tester is this intimidating black lady. She was chatting heartily with her colleague in the next counter and when she turned to me, her expression changed immediately . It's like one of those scenes you see in a comedy: Blur, nervous guy meets fierce examiner.
Had a potluck today. Cooked my Chow Mien.
Applied for weekend job at Macdonalds, KFC and a events management firm after I return to Singapore. Hopefully I will get at least one.

Phone call

Juz skyped with mum juz now. All my relatives were there, taking turns to talk to me. A lot of laughter. Man, it was nice...

I feel hypomanic sometimes when work gets heavy. I would have a lot of energy and motivation to attend to details and seek perfection. I would also require less sleep and derive pleasure from fatigue.
Despite the slumberous pace of summer school, I feel hypomanic now.

I feel happy that I managed to replicate my mum's cooking for dinner: cauliflower with pork. Taste good, in my own opinion.

But, 要学的还多！！

There are so many things to learn and do!!!!

Weekend was interesting.
Invited people to our house for KTV, and my friend cooked pasta for everyone. I have been learning to cook too. Making progresses slowly. Saturday played soccer, watched movie. Today went to friend's house for dinner and played a superinteresting game called boogle. I think I have poor verbal intelligence and that's what make the game interesting: challenging!
I am getting to know my Singaporean friends better.
I realized that it's easy to make assumptions about a person, but gradually as you know more about this person, these assumptions become void. And you will think back and realize that this person has turn out to be quite different from what you thought of initially.
